So I have lots of things to write but they aren't organized so this will be in point form with lots of info. ;)
- Soren turned 18months old this month, which is just crazy, he is growing so much and trying to say words. BUT he still will NOT walk!! He walks on his knees the crazy kid, and part of me doesn't care until I have to carry him everywhere and then it is not so fun because he is a big boy and I am getting more pregnant. He is a climber though, anything he can get his knee up on he climbs up. I have a feeling when he finally decides to walk it is going to be an adventure! :)
-Theo is just so delightful and we are finding more of a rhythm these days, him and I. He says the funniest things and understands so so much. I am tempted to start more focused learning with him on a very relaxed level. I would ideally like to just do more crafts with him but this is not a strong point for me, that kind of creativity, and the few things we have done he doesn't stick with long. He loves his little brother and can't wait till Soren can come outside with him to play.
- I am feeling good at this stage in pregnancy. Feeling the need for lots more discipline in my spiritual growth these days, loving mom's group, soaking up all the amazing sunshine we have had this winter, and supporting my honey. I am reading a book right now called The Meaning of Marriage by Timothy Keller and his wife and it is really fantastic! (A post about books to come soon)
- So Honey has had two different job offers in the last 3weeks which has been just nuts. It has felt like a intense couple of weeks as we talk through these things. I feel like all the jobs he has had in the last 5 years has showed us so much about ourselves and about what we want for our family and what Brian wants in a job. It has made the decision making process much easier and clearer for us. I have seen so much growth in my husband in the last year and am SO blessed to see him growing and learning and seeking God for much needed wisdom in these decisions. All that to say that he will be starting a new job on March 1st and it is close to home, so no more hour long commute (one way) earlier suppers/more family time for us, and really the job he has wanted since last spring. We are so thankful for this opportunity and for God's provision!!!
-My Honey is also giving me the gift of time with my family. My parents are flying me to their home for 5 days to stay, just me, and he is going to keep both the kids, (with the help of my dear mother-in-law while he is at work for a few of the days) I am seriously so excited to go spend time with my family and to just go sit at my mummy's house and rest. Also overwhelmed with thankfulness to my dear sweet husband who is letting me go and taking on the kiddos. And of course a little bit sad about leaving them all for even 5 days.
So I feel like there is more I wanted to write but I am coming up blank. This blog is in serious need of some more photos, so I will try and do that soon. Until next time...
